Today is the International Transgender Day of Remembrance. In honor of that, my good friend and frequent co-conspirator lirvilas (architect of the amazing Let It Ride series, currently including Winners and Losers and Maximum Speed and Violence) made this fanart of my Ghoul (who is, coincidentally, taking over focus on the main site starting today).

For those who don't know, Ghoul is transmale. I don't make a huge deal about it because he doesn't make a big deal about it. Today, however, is kind of a big deal. So let's take a moment to remember the ones who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.

OK, I know this is super bad taste since I drew this thing, but I gotta say it: I love this piece.

I don't have any characters in my own work that could pull off this scene, and not because they don't know how to use a can of Krylon--it's that Ghoul radiates a certain mischievous aura that makes his brand of mayhem definitely fall on the fun side of "work and play".

He's a punk, plain and simple. The "don't go around tagging stuff and causing mischief" part of societal expectations holds little value for him...

But yes, awesome work, man.
